Agreed, and this can be done for free.

Mine was Tmobile branded and it works much better now.

Looks like it.

They want to copy Moto, concentrate software development on Android only, for us, I wish they would ship an android upgrade version of the phone and we can install android on Satio.

If you are a camera phone fan like me, give the Satio to a mate and buy an N8, selling it won't get you anywhere near 200 USD.

I debranded mine from Orange UK, it's not as scary as you might think.

Although Orange do keep sending me text messages to say a firmware update is available for my phone... Apparently they can tell if you're not using the latest Orange firmware. Scary, but nice idea for a prompt if people aren't aware that it's upgradable.

SE aren't too keen on Symbian it would seem. Not that I'm surprised considering how the X10 has breathed life back into them. The Satio was a disaster waiting to happen and it did happen. The Vivaz did much better but I don't see the pro doing much better than the Vivaz.

They'll probably going to release one more update for the Satio and that would be it IMO. The only thing left for the Satio/Vivaz/pro is for them to be replaced by the new SF3 on the upcoming SE phones.

SE has lost interest in S60, actually, they never really had any interest since they hoped that Satio would initially ship with Symbian Foundation's first OS and not S60 v5 but they were hit by delays. Actually, Symbian is in tatters if you ask me, they inexplicably decided to name S60 v5 S^1 because they knew they wouldn't meet the deadline of completing the 'new' OS which is going to be nothing but S60 dressed up IMO.

If you expect constant support for the S60 v5 phones from SE you are in for a rude wakening.

It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009
