People getting shorter? |

Is it just me or i am i seeing far more shorter people around these days?I remember many years ago this never used to be the case or has it always been like this and i just didn't notice? Reason i say this because when i was at school everyone was quite tall or along the same height but these days i see a lot of school kids who's height is well lets just say well below what it should be for their age especially with girls i don't know maybe i'm wrong just need other people's opinion on this?

I am 5ft 9in  maybe Julias your have got taller how tall are you? My eldest brother is 6ft 3in but my 15 year old nephew Owen is now taller than me

I'm not saying there aren't any tall people around, my own family are all over 5'8 including me and my maternal side of the family are mostly over 6' Just that recently i seem to be noticing more shorter people than before or it could just be me i don't know?

I'm 5' 11 and 15. Theres loads of tall people in my year (15 year olds) but I bet its different around the country

Luke your the size of my nephew Owen who is also 15 he gets the height from my eldest brother. Why do you reckon shorter people live in Liverpool or something?  Just an example

I heard about people getting shorter. I can notice this at my kids school. my daughter is the smallest in her year (prediction is 5feet 2") but the rest of them are not much bigger, maybe fatter I am 6feet my wife 5feet6"

I'm 16 and 5 foot 7ish, most my friends are bordering 6 foot though! |

I am noticing this too. I see these kids getting out of school... they are so short and they are 8 graders...
I mean when I was 8th grade I was taller than them and so were my friends. |

I'm 5foot 5 and 20 so i ain't gonna grow anymore, i thought everyone was getting taller lol.

On the contrary, i'm steadily seeing a large number of tall people around me. I am about 6 feet one or two and used to tower over most people not long ago. But i see lots of tall or taller people around me these days.
