I have just bought a C901.

I have tried reading through the forums, and have found that i will need new camera driver and a music driver, for better experience, than i have now. I bought mainly the phone because of the "Threaded SMS" and the Xenon flash. So far i have tested the phone indoor, with the flash, and i'm not really that impressed with the pictures :/ My old C902, is almost as good.. :/

So i guess a new camera driver will help? Which one is recommended? And which music driver is recommended?

What about other tweak / programs, which is recommended for me?

Raider's camera driver is the one you should use.
Link

Use a2Uploader Download here

Press File System tool on the program, push 2 + 5 on the phone (phone shut off) as you connect the usb to the computer. Then open IFS / Settings / Camera and drag and drop the new camdriver0.dat file. Press shut down file manager or something (written in red letters). Start the phone and voila.

For the music I don't really know. The C901 is quite good as a music player from the beginning. I made my phone brown and used elf for ClearBass but that's quite much job and costs some money. (Or use a strange chinese program like I did to convert to brown).

Ah very nice.. I will try that

What about the "Threaded SMS" Can this be hacked, so text is smaller? Further more, so some of the text (If the message is long) Is not hidden?

It's noot good, i'm coming from an android phone.. So i wanna customize everything now

So if there are any other nice tweaks, POST THEM

PS: It's a shame the keybaord on the C901, is so "hard" to press :/ I liked the C902 keybaord better..

I think there's patches for those things but you need to convert to brown first.

I'm unsure, what that "convert to brown" thing means?

You change the phone to developer mode so that you can change files inside the phone. With camdriver for example you only replace the file but with brown you can add patches like ability to use radio without handset or copy any file to any map like a picture to video map.

But i have allready replaced the file for the camera, without converting it to "Brown"

How can i tell, if i have the new camera driver? (Further more i thought there would be more options in the menu afterwards?)

I have further more been taken some photos, and im not impressed!! There is a lot of "Shaked" pictures... Thought there was some sort of image stabilitor build in, if my hand shake to mouch when taking pictures...

Your hands probably shake too much. Try taking a photo with some kind of stabilisator like a table or something.
You don't need brown to replace files but you need brown to edit files.

theres no need to convert the certificate to brown for changing camdriver, that only applies when patching the phone for further personalized settings

How can i tell, if i have the new camera driver? (Further more i thought there would be more options in the menu afterwards?)

did you used raiderski cam driver? and i think you did not read the "readme.txt" file, more features of the camdriver was explained and how to use them

C901 doesnt have image stabilizer so your hands need to be very still whilst taking your photo.
As raider said; the camera isnt as forgiving as other phones. Imo It tends to choose small iso values and long shutter speeds.
Take your photos outdoors in sun light.
Cameras on phones will all take blurry pics in poor light they have tiny sensors.

Buy a compact with a strong flash for indoor pics.
Enjoy phones camera for fun, none will take great pics in bad light

Search for drivers on the net, If you put effort into searching google its not hard

If you use Best Pic the pictures will be scaled down about 20 pixels on each side, this must be a small stabilisator.
