I am confused do i get a samsung spica i5700 for INR. 12,500/- or wait for  Xperia X8 
I also wonder whether will price X8 competitively

@ vignesh. The X8 is superior to the Spica and shall be priced in the same bracket. Btw, the i5700 has been discontinued.  |

I'd say NO to X8...much better for SE to cancel it. Just a waste of resources. Just focus how to top the X10. |

You can call it anything but a waste of resources. It has cost not that much to develop it as it recycles many parts from the portfolio from SE and will make more cash for them than most high-end phones. The high-end phones are good for status, but profit still lies in the mid-range/low-end

This 480x320 screen is actually quite sharp as I had the same screen res on an LG Android phone. It does look good

In India i5700 is still available - and with a 800 Mhz processor, 3MP Autofocus camera with Android 2.1 it seems to edge out X8 , thats why I asked

Well, the Spica to be honest is shite. Use it on stock ROM for a few days and you will figure how unresponsive it is. :|
Its pretty much like the X8, the X8 has a 2 mp camera too and will probably ship with 2.1 |

the Galaxy I5500 is for Euro 200 is in the range of X8 while the I5800 is for Euro 230 which is almost X-10 mini territory
