Is lollylost working on a port of the Arc launcher for x8? it would be awesome if we could make that and the new timescape work on the X8. The x10 owners have managed to run it on their devices already.

I contacted the person who ported X10 launcher to X8, I hope he will do the same with the arc launcher. Have you tried the arc launcher? It is quite usable even without resolution adaptation. |

No I still havn't. Was of the opinion that it was unusable. Will give it a go today. What about the other app apk's? Do any of them manage to install?
Its a long shot but i'll ask around and see if they can make timescape work too.

Here are some screenshots of the new launcher working on CM7. Some widgets, like digital clock, photo and genie are also working, but I am not using them.

Looks awesome. Can you please tell me how to install it? And the other widgets? Just drop in the apk and install?
Is the timescape widget working too?
btw....can you please share your wallpaper? Looks nice

On CM7 I just installed apk to get launcher, digital clock, photo and genie widgets. I haven't played much with the timescape, but on CM7 it works, however the font is unreadable on X8. Timescape widget exits with FC.

I just hope CM7 for X8 will be soon finished and fully functional. So far experience with Android 2.3.3 is great. |

Thanks for the screenshots. Hows the general impression? The speed difference is noticeable, as compared to stock 2.1?
Is it even faster and responsive than floyo?
The theme and arc widgets look amazing!

How's the battery life on 003?
Jerpelea just posted what we can expect in 004
"CM 7- 004
- moved to CM7 RC2
- libcamera fixes (almost ready )
- reverted prelink close to standard
- readded CMStats (fix FC in settings )
- added missing wallpaper in launcher ( fix
FC on select)
- added Fm radio ( not tested yet )
- wifi is almost final"
I am definetely coming onboard the Cyanogen bandwagon once its out

@Karun Since I am experimenting with X8 custom ROMs, I currently do not use it as a calling device and wifi also doesn't work on 003. I can say that standby time is incredibly long compared to stock 2.1.
I am also changing performance options and testing how it behaves with different settings.
