Hi All (new here)

phone: W995 (probably works for other similar closed OS models like K750 and K800)

problem: when checking new e-mail, everytime phone is asking: "Server not certified. Continue with secure connection?". Pressing 'yes' checks the e-mail OK, pressing 'cancel' or pressing 'yes' after some time results in 'server not found' message. This is a real bugger, especially as I have push e-mail turned on it's something that renders push useless, every single time requiring user intervention

solution: determine and install proper certificate on the phone

(this example is based on my Hotmail/Live.com account + Firefox, but I reckon it's valid for other mail servers)

1. Go to webmail on your PC (web interface as opposed to client), like live.com and login into your account using SSL (e.g. typing https://login.live.com)
2. In Firefox: menu > tools > page information > security (lock icon) > display certificate > details tab
3. Read certificate name (in my case it's 'GTE CyberTrust Global Root') - this is the certificate we need
4. Google certificate name and try downloading it to your PC - this GTE cert is available here: http://cybertrust.omniroot.co[....]server/root_install_ev_iis.cfm
(first one, the name matches)
5. Download it to your computer (Rclick, save); note that this is a .DER certificate which is not supported by phone, we need .CER, so we have to export/convert this one to proper format
6. Double-click downloaded file and Certificate Manager pops up (Win Vista, no idea about other)
7. Go to details > copy to file > next
8. Important! Phone supports Base-64 encoding and not DER, so choose second option (X.509 with Base-64)
9. Next > save file
10. Transfer exported (.CER) file to phone via BT (probably IrDA also works), certificate is recognized and installed after you confirm operation; simply putting cert into phone filesystem does not work!

Done! No more annoying confirmation dialog

I've really had hard time figuring this out and so far haven't seen solution anywhere (esp. operators staff is hopeless), thought it's worth sharing.

Thanks mate for the info, but AFAIK, hotmail/windows live is not giving Push EMail over IMAP4. You can only access your w.live mails through a POP3 server on your cell phone.

And all these certificates are already installed to your device. I've had enabled Gmail PUsh on my K850i and W995 n never had any certificate error. [addsig]

Unfortunately you are right about no push in hotmail - but this was just an example as I can't use my corporate email (push-enabled) for obvious reasons.
As per hotmail - it's useful if you have a polling interval ('check email every...') turned on. Think of it as a poor man's push
And certificates per device vary depending on firmware and customisation - mine (Central Europe W995) had no GTE preinstalled.

Why can’t I use OUTER JOIN in an Indexed view?

Rows can logically disappear from an Indexed view based on OUTER JOIN when you insert data into a base table. This makes the OUTER JOIN view to be increasingly updated, which is relatively difficult to implement. In addition, the performance of the implementation would be slower than for views based on standard (INNER) JOIN.

The reader was confused with my answer and wanted me to explain it further. Here is the example which I have quickly put together to demonstrate the behavior described in the above statement.
