P800 problem with contacts in sim |

I copied the sim phonebook into my p800 and modified some of the numbers in the contacts. But when I recieve an SMS, the display is still the one in the sim. Ex.: stan(sim) copied to p800 (edited into STAN). When I receive a message from the person, it displays the message as from stan and not STAN. Why is this so? Software glitch? Any of you guys experience this too?

I read a post with a similar problem i think the number has to be stored under mobile and not under home or work

same thing happened to me when i first got P800...
i deleted all sim entries, quite tedious since you have to do it one contact number at a time on the P800, easier if you have another fone and delete all sim entries from there...
then i sync'd all my outlook contact to P800...
problem solved... |

Itīs not new. Same thing on the other phones. Sim contacts are on the prior. R380 also does this.
