That's the number of widgets on the homescreen (each widget gets its own screen), iirc.
Would be quite strange if you can't see all the apps you've installed because of any restriction.

Well yes - but 20 x 9 icons, thats still an impressive 180 apps... I think this should be enough for every day use, and even for geeks like us ... |

Home Replacement best free application is ADW (donuts version for X10 for now)
But if you can pay little bit or do piracy try GDE, its better than ADW.
