My theory:
Last time we won the world cup, 1966, the climate was winter
The last time we got the the final, the climate was winter
World cup 2010, winter climate

Ireland never qualified again England,Who? England have not a cat in hells chance of winning it with the current squad. The players play well in their premiership teams but as England they just don't gel well at all. It's all about image & money these days no passion for the game anymore The money they get paid they should scoring every match

What he means is it will be easier for England to play in that environment as that's the climate they are used to The England team is not used to playing in hot weather.

In 1966 we won it in the summer, July 30th, and we have reached the final only once, again July 30th 1966

As Arien pointed out england hosted the world cup July 11 to July 30 1966. I know England isnt tropical but July is middle of summer not winter.
England have also only ever reached the world cup final once (1966 when we won), the next best result was fourth in italy june/ july 1990, also not winter.

how about, instead of thinkin that we are goin to win how about watchin the tournament and enjoying some good quality football and chatting about it in here... if we win itll be a big bonus, if not its just another tournament we lost.

England may win they may not... i know i'll still be wearing my Scotland shirt (we being eco friendly this year by not attending the world cup and saving CO2 from not flying!) and enjoying the matches i can watch with friends.

Let me join in seeing that I'm in the host country and love football.

I see a lot of surprises in this World Cup. England has a good team no doubt but just not good enough to win the trophy IMO.

Just like Brazil which I feel will not win this time around due to Dunga having changed the style of play and experimented too much to the detriment of the squad.

Dark horses for me are Serbia and Chile.

Spain always falters and I see them doing exactly that.

Netherlands to me have really looked the part and are likely to cause some serious damage.

Best part is, SE are the official handset partners for the FIFA world Cup.

Kidding. I have my money of the Dutch.Brilliant side. Can give any team a run for their money. If only they had a proper defense.
Spain are the team to look for.
