SE c902 Self-timer? |

I'm just curious, what's the deal with the Self-timer on the Sony Ericsson c902?
I of course have it on my 2 other digital cameras, but I use it with them, after putting the camera on a tripod, to make sure the picture taking procedure is rock steady.
Would somebody like to clue me in as to what the function the Self-timer has on the SE c90 would be?
Just sayin".

See this photo and you will see that button at the left side from bottom to top. That's the self timer button.

If you're scared to not blur picture while clicking camera button -> then use this self-timer.

I guess I didn't ask the question properly, Sorry.
I know where, and how, to use the Self-timer. That's not the problem.
My problem is, "Why would you use the Self-timer at all?" I mean, if your hand is shaking when you use the phone/camera without the Self-timer, it is not going to stop shaking when the Self-timer is used. That's what the "Stabilizer" mode is for, isn't it?
Oh well - no big deal. I just got to thinking about it one day, and couldn't come up with a logical explanation for it.
I'll never use it, as far as I can tell, but thanks for the responses anyway.

Er.. you use it when you want to take a photo of you and your friends. Place the phone somewhere and use the self timer to trigger a shot being taken automatically after a few seconds, giving you enough time to join the composition.
Duh.

Yes, I do that with my regular digital cameras all the time. I place the phone on a tripod, (Duh) and join the group for the picture.
I have not discovered a way to place the SE c902 "somewhere", without its falling over, and there never seems to be a "somewhere" that has a ledge conveniently located a picture taking height. (also with a rock available to brace the camera in the upright shooting position.)
Let me put it this way, if Sony Ericsson had said, "We'll sell you the camera/phone with the Self-timer, for $100, or without the Self-timer, for $50", which offer to you think I would take. lol.

Whoa! Fantastic! Thank you for the heads up on that tiny little tripod. I gots to get me one.
I'm going to start searching for one, right now. Is there a model number I should be searching for? Is this a Sony Ericsson tripod, or is it generic?

I've just purchased one and it is indeed very useful! Works perfectly with my C902 and Satio.
The model is Sony Ericsson IPK-100 and it can be found for around 10£ on ebay.

The IPK 100 breaks easily though, the screw twist it uses at the top of the tripod is plastic and hollow so it easily breaks. Not the best accessory but still worth getting imo.
