Yes, I have installed apps from memory card or from Dropbox and they have worked. The main problem is finding the apk files, and that they don't automatically update if you install them that way.

Not that I have the phone yet (currently trying to shift my iPhone!!) but I understand the xScope browser is worth buying. I'm interested personally as it is the only one to use one finger zooming (or 'pin zooming' as they call it).

Getting rave reviews everywhere, and the developer of it seems to add updates daily... he listens to every feature suggestion so any ideas you have may get implemented!

On another note I can't seem to get Scandinavian keyboard to work? I've enabled it in locale ant text and done a hard reset, tried a soft reset but it just won't work. Any ideas?

In a text area, keep pressing for a second and so an in the pop up window scroll down to "input method" (inmatningsmetod) and select the keyboard you want to use.

Does swype work on the phones? And if it does... is it even usable?! People seem to be raving about it at the moment...!

haha cool, thanks. I've not used it yet (even on a big phone). Interested to see what all the fuss is about, in my head it cant be THAT much quicker/easier than normal qwerty input, but obv thats not the case!!

So it works well on the mini/pro?! Screen not too small?! Guessing it has to be landscape though right...

I like the look of the SwitchPro app but can't find it on the market. Where else and how can I get this app?

On a small screen like the mini's, sliding the finger between letters is probably easier than trying to hit them and it works both in landscape and portrait. Personally I still think SE's native mini keyboard is best. But that's me.

That would be very useful to know if there is an app which lets you do that!

@darbo
I think you will find that Camera Zoom FX doesn't fit on the screen on the X10 Mini, but Vignette works fine.
