hi just bought a unlocked phone which has been previously been on orange and i have insterted my 3 contract sim and it will not working any ideas as to why this could cheers or what i will need to do to get in working thanks

What does it say when you start the phone with the new SIM card; "Insert correct SIM card" ?

no it come on but with a sim card picture at the top of the screen with a red cross on it and when i trying ring out it says " calls from this number are barred" |

I'm not sure, does it work with any other sim card apart from your 3 contract sim?

yes that why i thought it would of worked but the firmware on the phonem is still orange (orange messasnger, internet etc) would that be anything to with it |
