How is the Display of SE Hazel? |

Well, I was thinking to get one next week especially for it's price and design. I just wanted to know how is the 16M color TFT display of the device? How sharp and vibrant is it? I previously owned a W995 and I was shocked by the poor display of it, the colors looked so faded, though it had 256K screen. The best 16M colored display (non touch) I owned was the N95. Can I expect same from Hazel? or better or worse? and What about the earpiece volume? Is it that same medium range like other SE phones or been increased?
Hazel owners please put your inputs.
Thanks.

Sony Ericsson C902 (262144 colors) and Nokia 6300 (16777216 colors) :
Now do you believe millions of colors mean better display?

Well you guys got me wrong, I didn't think 16M>262K all the time and that's why I asked the question. That Cyber Shot and Nokia 6300 comparison is beautiful. But as I said I had a W995 and I was not happy with the display, the colors were so faded, So what I am asking is is the Hazel display same with that Cybershot or better? If you please make a photo comparison between a Hazel and a W995 that would be perfect, or also you can compare with the Cybershot C902 if the Hazel display is better. Hope this time I made myself clear.
BTW- What's so special about W995? I didn't like that Peeling off of SE logo from the back, I didn't like Walkman 4, it didn't have the Mega Bass feature like 2.0, the Camera quality for a 8MP was not good and as I said the display, I really didn't like it.
Thanks.

Whats wrong with the w995 display? I know it was only qvga and 2.6 inches which showed up the pixels more but the screen was vibrant. I have seen many 262k screens from Sony Ericsson which look far better than 16 million on some Nokia phones. Dont be fooled by it. We have had this discussion before but whilst the Elm's is not the most vibrant I have seen I have no idea about the Hazel. I know its bigger but as far as reviews go they say its better.

Нext week if I have time to compare them, but I'm not sure if Hazel is still in my city.

Yep, I checked that already. But I don't believe in a 2 lines comment, they just said the display is vibrant and images are remarkable, but no pictures, nothing else. They also said the W995's display were good, but I learned the lesson after purchasing it, it was nowhere near good. So this time I'll buy one only after your positive comments and some photo comparison, which centur will provide next week. This is the only website where most of the SE users are available, so why the heck will I care others?
Thanks. |

Well I googled a lot and it seems the C901 has one of the Best display of SE group. So I am requesting Centur to do the comparison with C901 and Hazel as soon as you get it.
Thanks. |

Agreed, it's a myth that 16M colors mean anything on a small cellphone screen. You'd need a netbook or iPad sized display to tell the difference. Pic of W995 menu display below (taken with the Elm , EV set to -3 to show off the brightness of the screen.

Why you guys are getting me wrong? I may not be an expert but still I am not a noob. I know that colors mean nothing. That's why I created this thread and asked whether the Hazel display is good or not. If I were that noob then I wouldn't have asked anybody and just purchase the Hazel for it's 16M color. What I wanna know is How the Hazel display is? Is it with the Best displays like- C901/C902 or an average one like W995.

The C901 display isn't the best, though it's better than the C902's display, the light sensor isn't good and it flickers from very bright to very dark. Why don't you just go to a phone shop and directly compare the displays of different phones?

The shops in our country or at least where I live doesn't allow to see handsets. There are just dummy versions you can check before buying but not the original unit. If that was the case I will do that first before anyone says. That's why I am nagging here.
