we've had many favourite-music type threads but I'm interested in peoples all time favourite music videos
this is all-time... not latest and so current favourite, so please think about your all-time favourites please
generally, its because the content is so fitting to the music track, or unusual or unique etc.. so not just some artist singing along to their song.. These are videos that have had alot of thought put into them and are somewhat inspirational
for me, the list starts with stuff like this... (in no particular order)
U2 - One
U2 - Sweatest Thing
U2 - Stuck in a moment
Daft Punk - Around the world
Katie Melua - Nine Million Bicycles
George Michael - Fast Love
Pet Shop Boys - Liberation
Pretenders - Human
REM - Imitation of life (which, btw, is comprised of only a 20 second video shoot! - incredible)
Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer
Shakira (feat Wycleff) @ MTV awards - Hips don't lie
TLC - Waterfalls
Fatboy Slim - Weapon of Choice
etc...
now... please.. inspire me with your choices

I don't have a list. Only one video. It's black and white, weird start and end. But it all fits in the song.
The Special aka - Girlfriend

thats just weird!
I liked SKA in its day and the special - too much too young was a great song, but it really doesn't rate in my video list, nor does this girlfriend video... remember... this is more abot the video of the song rather than the song itself.
@bono... hmmm.. thanks.. food for thought.
INXS videos live were all great (being an Aussie ), but not in the realm of these other videos I'm thinking of, but you did get me thinking more and John Lennon - Imagine in a define classic video as was Merry Christmas everyone... also Black Eyed Peas - Where is the Love?
but... I do respect your own choices but these don't stand out in my realm of music videos

Well I seen INXS live at the Birmingham NEC in 1993 during the X tour. Hutchance had an amazing voice & charisma. The nearest to ska I guess I like is Madness But Mass I know what you mean about videos that really stand out. Right now I cannot think. One that springs to mind suddenly is Fat Boy Slim-Praise You, such a cool video.
Oh no they are all coming to me now
Aha-Take On Me
Michael Jackson-Thriller

I guess we can't fault Madness... although not particularly technical videos for their day, baggy trousers was clever and well done... but i'm really thinking much more inspirational than that which probably means a little more modern...

I can't keep up!
aha - take on me was brill and more in line with what I am thinking about
although thriller was a great music video, and I saw MJ on the tour that followed, it was more of a mini-movie than a music video and so doesn't really fit my idea for this topic unfortunately
keep them coming please as I'm trying to improve my music video collection
