I've got an unlocked T68, and have just moved over to Orange. After a week of the Orange SIM being inside it, I went to write a text message and the phone said phone locked, pls enter PUK. So I called Orange and entered this, and now I don't have delivery reports nor the menu option to switch them back on. I called Orange and they said they do support delivery reports and they would send a SIM update however this does not work. They also said that as the T68 is an advanced phone I may need an advanced SIM instead of the one I have. Is that right. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

I had some trouble with my Orange pay as you go sim card when I first used it with my T68, it wouldnt send messages.
I rang Orange and had to speak to seven different people before I got someone who knew what to do. I suggest you try Orange a few more times as I often find that half the people i speak to can probably barely spell their own names never mind sort out technical problems, but keep trying and you will find someone who knows what they are on about.
Someone told me in this forum that you put RCT before the number to get delivery reports on Orange but I have never tried this, hope it works.

RCT does work, tried it on my old Nokia 3210 (urgh !). The report it generates requires a minute's concentration to take in and understand. Gives exact date, time and some/all off the contents of the text. One member here (I'm sorry, I forget who) suggested saving the RCT bit as a template. Sounds like a good idea to me.

Litepurple=> Try putting the sim into another phone that has a facility to enable/disable delivery reports. Might work.

Thanks for the tips.

I put my Orange SIM into my Z7 and it showed that delivery reports were already active and to prove they were I sent myself a text and a delivery report was duly created. Put the SIM into my T68 and that is another matter... no delivery report option STILL!. It used to do them when I had it on one2one and indeed did so for a week whilst on Orange. I'd better give them a ring...
