Hello all!
I searched but didn't found an answer for my problem...
I have a Black X10i with firmware R1FA014... SIM unlocked... without contract... i purchased him over the internet probably from Europe...
The problem is that i cannot update the firmware on the phone... it keeps saying me that my phone already has the latest software...
any idea why this happens?   |

Update it via your PC using SE Update Service. Download the program from www.sonyericsson.com under support. I have just updated to R1FB001. If you try to update via the phone it says that you already have the latest FW.

I tried through SEUS and didn't work... could be a region problem? i'm in brazil.... |

i think not everyone is getting the updates at the same time. others have been getting them while some are not. so i guess we gotta wait it out. |

Yeah... i think that this is the problem... but this sucks because my X10 keyboard is almost unusable...

Download and install HTC_IME keyboard, or grab one of the many alternate keyboards on the market.

Wonder... am I the only one... but after firmware R1FB001 update.. the "infinity" behaves differently...
I might be confused.. but did you really need to have a user added as a contact before you could
see the infinity view?
Have a facebook contact. Clicking on the infinity I get an option "add to contacts". Clicks on it but
then all that happens is my contacts open but I do not see the user added. Need to add manually?

Same issue here. Can't update via phone (says you already have updated software) and SE Update Service on computer asks me to take out the battery, wait 5 secs, plugin usb while holding the 'back' button and what not. Result is no update. WTH is going on? |

There's a way to know of which country my phone is?
Because i keep daily checking the SEUS software and it keeps saying that my phone is updated, but i have the firmware 014.
I live in Brazil and buy't from internet... he came with the leather pouch, so i suspect that it came from taiwan.
My X10i battery is almost unusable... EVERY day i have to charge the phone... i really want the 016 firmware hopping that this issue got resolved... |

Try this.
In standby screen when the screen is locked, press this button:
Menu, Back, Back, Menu, Back, Menu, Menu, Back
You will be directed to the Service Menu.
Go to Service Info, then Model Info.
You will find the country of your X10 there.

the 016 update depends on markets. and the latest 018 is for nordic countrys. The "big" battery update should come in may somtimes.

Use Swype. It's miles ahead of any other keyboard.
