Could someone please tell me the answer to these questions, I need to know the answers urgently, its not for homework or anything.

Please tell me what these improper fractions are as mixed numbers.

to convert an improper fraction to a a mixed number you divide the denominator (bottom) into the numerator (top) and take the integer (whole) value of that result. Then take the remainder from that division as your new numerator.

so in the first example, 6/5... 5 divides into 6 once leaving 1 remainder. So the answer would be 1 1/5


To convert the other way, simply multiply the whole number by the denominator and add that to the numerator to give the new numerator

so in the first example, 6 1/2. 6 x 2 = 12, add that to the 1 already on top gives 13/2
