P800 bluetooth - Please help! |

Hey guys!
I did a search, but couldn't find something that could help me!
I have a T68 and a P800. I want to connect these devices via bluetooth, or at least send a contact to the T68 from my P800.
The problem is that when I have set the T68 to be "reachable" for three minutes, I can't find the device from my P800...
In school I tried to find a 7650 just 1 dm away, and it couldn't find that either.
No one can find my device.
When I try to find the phones, it just keeps saying it searchs, but never stops. I have to click cancel.
One more question, when you hava set your p800 bluetooth to automatic and do a search, does you blue led activates?
Mine doesn't. Only if I set the bluetooth to on or "reachable".
Can someone please help me with my problem. I do remember that I did find the t68 for a short while (the first time i tried). Then I can't find anything...
HELP HELP and HELP!!!
I know that someone out there can help me. I have FW R1B!
best regards, Patrik

Maybe it has a faulty BT? My first one had it, so I had it exchanged for a new one. |

Well, I don't think it has anything to do with the firmware...
It can't connect to any device at all, and can not be found...
The T68 has the same FW as you have...
Well, I don't want to send it in. Just got it. But maybe I'll have to do this to get it fixed...but it really sucks! =)
Thanks guys for helping me...
Some other advices?
Thanks

The one that I had was able to receive items over BT, but sending always failed. It couldn't initiate a pairing, but it allowed others to pair to it. Maybe this is a common prob with P800, I don't know...
If you've just bought it, try to change it in the store you bought it from, otherwise you need to take it to service. |

Mine is set to "on" & "always reachable" with t68 on "recieve" it should find it then you check the box & confirm send.
Are you sure they both havn`t got the same name or anything like that. |

Listen to this...
I called Sony Ericssons support. They gave me some settings, but they couldn't find a solution. The told me to hand it in to the nearest service center...
Well, ok!
But then one thing popped up in my mind...RESTART THE PHONE!
Believe it or not - IT WORKED!
The P800 is like a computer...
Well, if you have any problems later, first of all try to restart the phone.
Happy that I not have to send it in to SE! =)

I just tried this. I set the T68i to receive and the P800 managed to find it and send a pic no problem.
The P800 doesn't seem to have a similar "receive" function (or does it)? but I have bluetooth set to "ON" and "Ask First" fpr receivign items.
The T68i could not find it. Even after pairing the two the T68i could not find the P800. Only after I set the P800 to "dicsoverable" could it find it and transfer the pic back.
My HP 4540 IPAQ can find the P800 no problem as I use it to dial out on GPRS through the P800.

Well, I did experience the same thing.
I suppose that SE want us to deside if people should be able to find our phone! That is OK.
But is it really true that you can find the P800 with the other devices when the bluetooth is "on" and not "discoverable"???
Looks like a bug in my eyes... =)
Take care!
