To all MW600 owners... I own a Macbook Pro... have the MW600 successfully connected. Though selecting MW600 (Stereo) it sounds like... a 64k stream... it just doesn't sound as good if it was connected to the phone playing music.

Is anyone else noticing this?

Well it crashed my Windows 7.... i've tried with every player vlc, quicktime, itunes... the bitrate on those music are at least 192...

It just sounds like it can't take the range of the song bitrate. I ono it's driving me nuts... that i just blast it all the time so I can't hear the digital distortion.

@Nubus & all
I guess you're streaming audio over bt-handsree profile... And thats why getting the issue.

On my hbh-ds980, it streams excellent quality even if the song' bitrate is 320kbps.
BTW, i'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

You have to stream over A2DP profile (Bluetooth Stereo Audio) not the handsfree profile in order to get what u want.
If it is connected with handsfree profile, then u'll get low quality sound.

Go to bluetooth settings --> Audio and check if the Stereo is connected or not?
Then go to playback devices and assign default status to BT Stereo Audio.

Hope it helps. [addsig]

Well I'll give you an update on the usage on my macbook pro. Windows side, there isn't a driver for it... well I haven't bothered to try what SE Support suggested, which was to install the SE software that would have it.

Mac side: Pairing is very simple and easy. I'm playing through stereo, the voice or high sounds distorted, but the low and mids are fine. It's so weird + annoying. I havn't tried it on any of the new Macbook pros, it could probably just be my bluetooth card is the older version.

don't bother, OS X is crap when it comes to bluetooth, I have tested 3 A2DPs and they all sound crap even with Snow Leopard. Windows XP works perfect, so its a mac problem unfortunately - they can't handle A2DP

The solution:

http://scott.dier.name/2009/10/osx-snow-leopard-a2dp.html

Probably people out there who still got this problem...

edit:

some help:

"There's a file called "com.apple.BluetoothAudioAgent.plist" in ~/Library/Preferences/ that with a plist Editor (http://www.nightproductions.net/prefsetter.html). I raised the "Apple Bitpool Min" to 50, that did the trick. "

but i raised it to 320 and it works!

Whenever I connect my MW600 to my Macbook pro, it only works as a mono headset (for making phone calls). It doesn't give me an option to connect via A2DP. How did you all do it? I've paired it many times.. I'm using a late 2009 MacBook Pro.
