The phone monitor will not recognize my phone!!! I am using a T68i and a Microsoft Bluetooth adapter (the one that comes with their Bluetooth keyboard and mouse). Is anyone using this setup with any luck? I can get my phone to see my comp and vice-versa but the Phone Monitor refuses to see my phone> Do you know what the problem is?

The problem is that Microsoft does not support COM ports. There is no way to sync with the MS adapter (as of right now).

MS Bluetooth only complies with HID profile... nothing more. Did you expect MS to make a product compatible with any open standard???!?!?!? They couldn't even do it with Java... you think they'd do it with Bluetooth?!?

So, if I will buy another bluetooth adapter will I be able to send pictures to my phone? If so, which adapter should I get? I saw people use either TDK or MSI adapters. Are these any good?

TDK's are great... They already support headsets as well. You can go with a cheaper MSI, Tecom, etc... if you use c0mm0n's hacked drivers they will also support the headset profile.

And they will all sync with ur T68

The MS bluetooth adapter does work in Linux however. I am able to sync with my phone via bluetooth. In fact, I was able to use the MS bluetooth and the rfcomm bluez tools to use GPRS and connect to the internet!

Also, sending pictures to the phone was an easy task. Simply use the OpenOBEX apps and use that obex_test program to upload a picture to /dev/rfcomm

I'll probably have to do a little hacking to make it a little more automated or user friendly. But the MS bluetooth stuff is easily detected by BlueZ and works perfectly fine! I'm actually having more trouble with the MS mouse than with my T68i. Does your MS mouse loose it's bluetooth connection after not using it for a day or so? It's really annoying to reconnect the mouse when it stops communicating. The fastest solution seems to be to reboot the computer (as with any other microsoft problem).

I love my keyboard and mouse. The only problem I have is that both the keyboard and mouse fall asleep after a not being used for a while, so I have to move around/mash keys to wake up. Also I found battery usage too high. I have to change them once every 3 weeks. I never had the problem that you are experiencing. Maybe there is something blocking your connection path. I have a question about your software (bluez). Do you use this software in UNIX or Windows? Thank you very much for your help.
