Right so long story cut short, my beloved Desire has decided to stop working after being dropped from a small height by a friend, the glass has cracked, the LCD is bleeding, while the digitiser seems to work fine still. Is there anywhere recommended that will replace it for me? Or any decent site selling OEM parts?
Cheers

Are the Desire and the Nexus One identical in terms of screen? Going to try getting a quote from HTC to see how much they'll charge..

The Desire and Nexus are identical apart from the buttons and trackpad.....

AFAIK they both use the same Samsung 800 x 480 Amoled screen

Friends, who needs em eh?!

So how many Desire owners do we have here?
I got one last week to replace my Hero and I'm well impressed!

I'm the proud owner of the Desire, the best phone available today. Not one single fault or complaint to report. No slow down or crashes whatsoever.

You rooted yet?

I've got an Orange one, they have customized it LOADS! Running generic ROM now, waiting for a decent custom one before I root.

The phone is superb. The Sense improvements are great and its runs sweet on the Snap dragon.

Just had 'Mostly cloudy with thunder' for the first time, you gotta love it. Looks awesome on the screen!
