hi everyone, neebie here
i've had my satio for a couple of months now and i'm disappointed with the lack of apps i can find (hardly any at all). beginning to think i should have got an iphone.
i may be looking in the wrong places but can the satio get apps as good as the iphone? if so where from? and what else can i do to improve the phone? i've heard of 'hacking' the phone, whats this all about?
any help would be appreciated as i'd like to get the best out of this phone as i really like it | |

Don't get dissapointed so easily, There are a lot of Satio users over here and they are using Nokia specific Software on there Satios, so Wait a little till they reply here

also you may want to hack your phone.
google helloOX guide try some of the first few.
make sure you download version 2.03 of helloOX

allow you to install applications..yes..applications and games with out having to sign them..etc
if you know what i mean..which can not be mentioned here.
you wont do it wrong..follow the steps its quite straight forward..
no internal modifying of the phone just install helloOX and it will install its crap
run helloOX and - it will hack your phone and 'open it up'
enable the patches, then install whatever you want from the s60v5 apps and game collection.

found loads for 1.03, 2.01, not so many for 2.03, havent found a simple guide yet! |

"STEP 6: Check back the site after 12-24 hrs and u ill see the .cer and .key. Download it by clicking it."
also download the applications that is shown in the image below.
this will help you with signing your helloOX
also..have a quick view at the link below. shows the steps for signing apps or in your case helloOX
[follow steps 8,9,10 as it explains how to sign apps,but once you sign the helloOX you wont need to sign
any other apps]

this one is the same guide as the middle one with a newer version of the application they use to sign apps and games.

here you can download helloOX 2.03

then with the application you got from opda
follow the steps to sign the application you want (helloOX 2.03)
it will verify and say app signed.
transfer to your phone
install it
and let it install rompatcher
run helloOX let it hack your phone
run rom patcher patch the two files that are shown, just by
clicking on it till they have green ticks next to them
hope this helps now..
you need the key and cert first before you need the helloOX app

only if you update the satios firware.so dont update the firmware untill you hack your satio

but how can you fix the bugs if you don't update its firmware

is that so, and what if your phone system got an error you cant do hard reset because of the hack, if you do hard reset then forget about hacking for now hehe!

If,as you said... How many people you've seen complaining about it?
I never needed to do this.
This can happen if the owner delete something substantial in phones's system.
Anyway,isn't common to commit this error and,well,we can downgrade and do it again
