According an article on Android and me, Google seems to be testing their new OS version. This version will be called Froyo and has some new cool features that I know you will like.
These features would be:
- JIT compiler
- Free additional RAM
- OpenGL ES 2.0 enhancements
- Flash 10.1 support
- Fixed problem with “crazy screen” / Resolution of cross multitouch
- Activation of Color Trackball
- Enable FM radio
The date that we probably see this version is rumoured to be on May 19th, where we'll also see the Google Event I/O

It seems that still Google has no plans yet on when they are going to remove the limit on number of application a user can install and one where it can be installed. Those are few of the features that I hope Google will add on the next Android version.
Since it says on your the spec list enable FM Radio, could the one on X10 be enabled if it has any? |

I would be so glad if SE decided to put this on the x10 instead of the rumoured 2.1. That would really shut the htc-fanboys up knowing desire probably wont get an update any time soon if ever |

@rss_ndrsn: according the specs, the X10 doesn't have radio. But if this version says that a radio will be enabled would mean that the X10 will have it also, assuming it is hardware capable.

Something tells me the list in the OP is not exhaustive, and so there would still be hope for those features to be included in Froyo.
As for the radio, ye, the hardware needs to be there for it to be enabled. The X10 doesn't have an FM Tuner, so no help on that front.

Doesnt matter. You need an FM application and your headset acts as the antenna. Simple. You dont need a tuner whatsoevr. |

Actually, not September but rather "second half". The September comment came from a trusted source of Engadget's, and that source was very wrong about the X10 having multi-touch, so I wouldn't trust any of his/her other comments either.
SE themselves have said second-half of this year, and that's as specific as they've been. That could mean early July, but could also mean late December. Here's the article from Mobile Phone Helpdesk.
