I just wondered whether the satio touchscreen had been improved during the last few firmware updates? I played with one in late december and felt it could have been better.

How you calibrated your screen?
Mine is really fine... I did using the pen as smoothly as possible.

The touchscreen still has the same sensitivity but the UI has been made more responsive.

I played with the Satio' screen in a mobile market. And i didn't like its response. Its not great in touch screen class. But for a resistive touch screen, i think, its fine. [addsig]

Compared to a capacitive touch screen, it's not as responsive, so if you've used an iPod touch or iPhone recently, you may be disappointed. But I find it perfectly fine, small taps are registered and there's no problem with the screen, just the UI that's a bit slow to respond sometimes.
The only issue I have is with dragging things. Sometimes my pressure eases up and it doesn't pick up.

I use this and my iPod touch and don't feel there's that large a gap, I don't have to put as much pressure on the satio's screen as I was expecting.

yes the sticker does affect the touchscreen as you have to apply more pressure

yes the screen scratches easily

so its a lose lose situation

Does this mean that the screen can be scratched ؟؟

If yes, I must not remove the sticker, right ???

I think thats nonesense. My Satio hasnt a scratch on it and ive hard it 6 months now and i took the plastic cover off the day i bought it.

It depends how well you look after your posessions. I do, therefore no scratches. In regards to the touch screen sensitivity, mine is fine. It misses a few taps at times but then its not of the same technology as the more sensitive iPhone.

Personally i dont think any touchscreen can be as responsive as using mechanical buttons - no ?

Remove it. Then just take care of the phone.

If you leave it on it will make the screen less responsive and images look worse.

Thats what i do. I have a very old thin neoprene pouch with a fake suede outer. Wouldnt protect the phone from hard knocks but stops scratches.
