Does this firmware update fix the blue and orange lines that appear when increasing the EV in camera settings? Also is there really no night mode setting for the camera even though there's one in the video?

those lines still there.
i don't think nightmode are exist if the cam already got twilight landscape and twilight portrait at the cam settings.
They represent the same option imo...
Already use the same firmware as bonovox's, thankyou rookwise!
There's something funny bout Elm, i did a master reset but those app and games aren't deleted, unlike db3210

After 2 weeks of trouble free use. I have now got a problem. My Elm decided not to communicate with any of my bluetooth devices all day. When trying to play music via my Sony BT3600 headunit. There wouldn't be any sound although the phone was connected. Few seconds later connection would drop and reconnect constantly. Same when trying my hbh-ds205 and mbw-100. Next thing that happened was with wifi. It wouldn't connect and the phone froze then started to reboot until eventually it stopped and started working properly.

And now its freezing and rebooting when closing the web browser via wifi and it won't even load up sites like hotmail,MSN. Browser works fine via mobile internet though. Really don't get it as its been working faultless since I bought it. Think i'm gonna give the phone a reflash. He that doesn't help then i'll see about getting it replaced.

I have a feeling this half hearted upgrade has not done much good although there are very little bugs to actually speak of. Mine is fine. I rarely use Bluetooth & Wi Fi & my browser seems ok but I normally use Opera 5 anyway. Goldgrow in answer to your question,no. But as I said it's just been a half upgrade of the existing firmware which is odd. I am sure a full one is due soon

Turn WiFi on first and connect to you set favourite access point. Then load the facebook app. Your phone should automatically use WiFi to connect.
I used to have the problem where WiFi was turned on and connected but the phone would connect via its mobile internet connection. Installing the updated version of R7BA076 seemed to have sorted this but in doing so. It has bought other problems. Most of which I can replicate on all my other A200 platform phones. To me A200 has improved a great deal since it was initially released but I'm disappointed that have still not corrected some of the problems plaguing every release version of A200.
I'll still stick to my Elm until about August which it will them become a spare as I will be getting an X10 mini pro around that time. Maybe even longer if some of its issues get sorted out.

I am sure they will get sorted. Overall A200 seems to have become more stable these days but roll on A300 if ever

I really like the phone as it has good features and a supported back for your hands. its smooth sleek and feels expensive in hand, and it also (finally ) lets you use "non-square" hi-res album artwork unlike on older phones like W595.

With the updated version of the original Elm firmware the signal is a lot better and there are other subtle changes including the the option to change the size of the standby clock in the display settings. I have however noticed the phone has slowed down slightly, bluetooth has become a little unstable and the Netfront browser hangs a lot.

Thanks for the heads up Rook, was planning to upgrade to a newer firmware but will wait for the next version instead.

Bonovox, how much do the speakers retail? I know those come with the w995 but I'm sure also sells them. And how is the music quality for portable speakers?

The speakers come with the W995. They can be bought seperately for around £25 in the uk and from the Sony Ericsson Eshop.

hello to all.
i recently bought myself an Elm and i am quite happy with it.
one thing anoys me: the connection via bluetooth to a computer can't be established. i tried this on two PC's (Win XP and 7) i reach the pairing step and after i enter the PIN the SE PC Suite gives me it gives me a failure message. anyone else has this kind of problem?
i connected with a data cable and it works. FAST.

the software that is currently in the phone is:
1231-1917
R7BA076
100210

can anyone explain or give a link about how the versioning system works for SE?
also, is my firmware up to date?
i beleive that my phone is for the central/western european market. can i install additional (eastern european) languages for the text input feature?
