Repair/stroke update, same thing. It reinstalls the whole software anyway.

You need to do that then rename the files that you downloaded from the first post, then rename those files with the same as shown in the screen shot on the first post. Copy them over and overwrite the original files. Then follow the process again and do another update/repair like the first time.

Settings > About Phone > R1FA016 is the latest firmware. If it reads 014 (I think) then you still have a previous build.

As for debranding, you should have PlayNow and SE Sync in the menu, and no network provider icons such as Vodafone360, etc.

Ok it says R1FB001 firmware 1.6 & i dont have any vodafone icons in my menu, but i do have Vodafone UK on the desktop.

I have play now & SE Sync so wots gone wrong if i need R1FA016???

R1FB001 is newer than R1FA016 and the Vodafone UK on your desktop? you mean like an icon? where does it lead? delete it?

Vodafone Uk name across the screen before timescape kicks in & covers it. But after updating the firmware it has,nt sorted the prob of no sending or receiving txt's or sending or receiving calls

I thought latest generic UK firmware was R1Fa016? When did it update?

5H4K a few weeks ago, but now we all wait for the r2fb020/023 update (023 seems to have call volyme boost)

as far as i know SE is slowly getting the 020 update availible, Telenor has got it, and UK Generic, that is all i know, i still wait to get it (I am on Nordic Generic)

So it's OK to change from Vodafone, to Generic UK (which I have done) then to Generic NCB?

Are there any major language changes from UK to NCB?

you should stick to Generic UK i think. the changes are region based languages and stuff. nordic symbos like åäö

hello i debrand my xperia x10a rogers and i still have the R1FA014. And i live in canada is there anyways i could get the R1FA016 or R1FB001 if so how? and most importantly if i update to either when 2.1 or 2.2 is available could i update or no? any help would be great.


PS : any1 who have x10a rogers have updated to R1FA016 or R1FB001 ?
