C901 Camdriver in Different Regions |

Good day everyone. I've just purchased Sony Ericsson C901. This is my fourth SE phone and modding is always my thing. From removing the operator logo to changing the fonts. Just the usual interface revisions. I've never tried using patches. But i've been dying to know this:
Is the camdriver for C901 Nordic Region different from that of APAC ANZ? Say in firmware version R1GA028. Like, if I use the camdriver from Nordic version and put it in APAC ANZ firmware, it doesn't produce the same result as the original one.
Or, are all C901 camdrivers the same no matter what part of the world the phone is being sold?
I've updated mine from R1GA028 APAC ANZ to R1GA031 Nordic. And somehow i got the Greenheart version. And IMO, the pics looked bad after the update.  Help!

Its all the same, regardless of region(i think) 
I think in every upgrade, SE tries to improve the the whole firmware. But sometimes they makes it even worst..
Just try installing a modded driver and you're good to go. |

I think it's the same versions for all firmwares, if not you can check in the secret service menu. Modded camera drivers are now much better, forget original; get raider's cam driver

I don't know. But I think the camdriver for Nordic C901 is different from C901 APAC ANZ. It's has something to do with the different climate conditions. Too much sun here in the Southeast asia where in the Nordic region its mild.
Honestly, the original camdriver was good. I was just disappointed with the very yellowish display and poor loudspeaker. Since a2uploader can't read files i resorted updating the phone using a different CDA. And I ended up with R1GA031 Greenheart and the camdriver is not as good as before  and the loudspeaker is still not good.
Anyway, thanks guys. I'm using jigonx camdriver. I'll give raiderski's a try. |

I haven't noticed the display to be yellowish at all, maybe you could post a picture 
Loudspeaker can be improved pretty easily with the help of A2 uploader and HQ acoustics.

No. I'm not talking about the photos being yellowish. They're all good (before i updated) when viewed in my computer. I'm referring about the phone's screen or display. Too much yellow. Blue colors are washed out. And you can't see a white color properly. It always has this yellow tint.

Beats me. . I was just looking for 031 update and I ended up having Nordic Greenheart FW. So i now have R1GA031. I guess yours is R1GA028. Everything's working just fine. And IMO, the yellowish tint of the display is less bit pronounced (but still there) and the light sensor works a bit smoother now. Only the camera and loudspeaker i'm complaining about. 
So, are the camdrivers for APAC ANZ and Nordic the same?

You could check your camdriver in service menu. I have R1GA031 firmware on my PC, why I didn't use it in my phone...coz there's no patch available yet. And there's no major different between both of those. IMO R1GA031 just minor update and not for global, it just an update for NORDIC area only.
