Cheers, I know that hsdpa is part of the 3g network, but normaly the phone would display an H when it is able to operate on the faster hsdpa.

As I said my sons htc displays and H when it is able to work on hsdpa, yet in the same area on the same network my X10 does not. I just wondered whether the X10 had this icon or just the 3g one.

Mine just says 3G even though it's in a HSDPA area.

Can't wait for Orange roaming to be activated - might get a decent signal at work (alas home will still be a 2 bar 3G signal - T-Mobile and 3UK's 3G networks are the only two found on a network scan there)
