Best way to backup your Xperia X10? |

I'm looking for a pc software like PC suite so I can backup all my contacts, notes to pc and also it would be good if I could sync with Microsoft Outlook 2007. Which software out there is for this purpose with the Xperia X10?
I don't think Sony Ericsson PC Suite works with the Xperia X10? well I can't get it working.

Have you tried the The Sony Ericsson Sync Service? Don't know whether it's working with X10 or not.
EDIT: seems it's supported:

I used it to transfer contacts from my Satio to Xperia X10 but the Sony Ericsson Sync Service doesn't do anything else, also it's very easy to wipe your contacts completely clean on both the Sony Ericsson Sync Service and your Xperia X10 in 'the cloud'
I'm looking at something which I can sync with Outlook 2007, like keep all contacts synced. There doesn't seem to be a way to sync notes and appointments unless I'm mistaken or if anyone knows otherwise?
I just phoned up Sony Ericsson's Xperia phone line and was told that a peice of software called Google Apps Sync does this. Edited But by the looks you need a premier google account to do this
Does anyone know the best way of syncing contacts and notes between Outlook and their X10?

Running Google's OS, it's worth a try.

He wants more than that. Wonder when MyPhoneExplorer will support Android.

There is an app call My Backup Pro which you can purchase from the market and use it and save the file to ur SD card and then transfer to your PC... It also backs up your apps too.
Cheers

How do you backup to memory card with the X10? I must be thick I can't work it out
And yeah it would be good if My Phone Explorer supported Android I used to use that all the time with Java based/normal Sony Ericsson's.
Perhaps something from HTC may work with the X10 with regards to backing up/syncing with PC. What do they use with the Desire and Legend?

Nice one thanks, its just getting used to the new layout with this X10
It's strange at why my previous backup to memory card from my Satio to memory card couldn't be read by the X10 but at least now the contacts are backed up from the X10 to memory card.
I'd like to find out what HTC Desire and Legend users are using to sync to PC with, whatever they use should work with the Xperia X10.
If anyone knows please let me know cheers

What are the alternatives for backing up online?.. (i'm aware you can backup to memory card/phone) |

Doesn't the X10 back up automatically to your Google account as you go? My Nexus one does and I would assume that all android phones do the same thing regardless of OS version?
There is a piece of software that does just what you want its called gSyncit does all you require and it works well a friend of mine uses it and loves it.

Here are a few of backup and synchronize tools for X10 that I tried and worked:
1. Backup to memory cards: Contacts only as described above.
2. Using "My Backup Pro": you can backup/restore all applications and data (contacts, call log, bookmarks, SMS, MMS, system settings, Android Home, Alarms, dictionary, calendar, and keyboard (as I use smart keyboard).
3. Using GMail account: sync Contacts between GMail and X10.
Another application that has backup feature is Lookout Security --> backup data to Lookout's server.

My X10 mini Pro had a defeault installed app for Exchange sync -- RoadSync Mail from DataViz
After a very simple settings wizard, the synch with the exchange server was very smooth.
No need for any other app from my point of view?! |

Don't forget you can also back up all your messaging threads to the sd card too.
