Hello, I am seriously considering to buy C901 and i want to ask C901 users to give their opinions about the phone. I have heard it has camera lens issue i.e camera lens or camera lens cover is very loose and moves a lot. Second thing i heard is that its color peels off very quickly. Can someone please confirm these issues? Also mention the color you are using i.e Silver or Black.
Thanks

I got my c901 way back october last year and replaced my aging k800i, its a solid phone and cheap here in the Philippines.

I'm Using Noble Black

and here's what i can say about it about your concern:

Len's Cover/Back Cover
>yes, its not that solid like other k or c series, the lens cover tends to slightly out of its track in the sliding mechanism, so sometimes even you open the lens cover the camera wont start or it started then will go off and on, but there's a solution if this happens, just add a little piece of a paper of tape on the contacts of the lens cover, it will to the trick.

i really miss the solid back cover of K series phone

Color Fades
>another yes, for the silver part in the Directional button, it wears off, that's all for the color though, i dunno the part in the keypad

Camera Len's
>During Auto focus, the screen gets a bit blurred after the focus it will back to normal, i don't know if this is normal o not? but it doesn't affect the picture quality or anything, this only happens when lighting is poor, so i think its normal

Here's my
Pros
+Light and Slim
+Cool Design and Construction
+5mp Camera with lots of Camera Controls and Led/Xenon Flash
+Very Tactile Keypads
+Cheap Phone i bought it $230 Last Year
+Very Responsive Phone
+Face Book, Google Maps, Youtube, Web Feeds Integration

Cons
-No On/off Dedicated Media button
-No Front Facing Camera
-Loud Speaker is not that Loud
-Body made of Plastic only, no Metal >.<
-No Wifi/GPS
- Box Contents: No Memory Card, No Data Cable

But Overall, c901 is great and i think this is the last cybershot phone that SE made.

So you guys didnt see any color fading from the phone overall? Other than navigation/keypad? And which model has better material used? Black or Greenheart Silver?

@ KillerPk

i haven't experienced any of those problems mentioned by you in the first post i have phone for half a year already and no problems...i think stuff you wrote is either rumours or someone was talking about some crappy phone but definitely not about c901 as none of this stuff applies to this great and solid phone

Thanks guys, just one more question. Which one do you think has more durable material and better looking? Greenheart Silver or default Black?

They all have the same material: glossy plastic, shame it's not a metal case but you can't have everything. You must decide yourself which looks the best

I get this phone last june, and all problem mention never happen in mine.
-noble black
-silver
-peach
-ocean white
I go for black because when see the silver one so ugly (according to me) and for peach color its girly i think. But i've plan to replace the casing with ocean white
From black color, i didnt like the keypad color. Like it not match with the casing.

my explanation on fading colored silver on directional, is that sometimes im using my finger nails instead of my finger skin but natural wear and tear for a long time that silver color in directional will fade soon

i have also dropped my c901 a lot of times already in my pocket, around 9x already and no cracks at all, just minor scratches

how much does c901 cover cost? anyone have an idea?
