I don't really take pics with my phone.... If I do, it's just random pics of my friends. Should I post those?

It's your decision if you post them or not.

You're right, in the dark the cam isn't very good, even with a modded camdriver.

Does it have macro? it would help with close up's.
Another old trick is to put it in document-mode.

The pic is bigger than 1.5MB!! (with full resolution)
And it has a good sharpness (for a W705 xD)

Maybe it's because you have to practise a bit until you get good photos that aren't wiggly.
