k850 camera driver problem |

i am having trouble changing the camera driver of my sony ericsson K850. I am trying to get WitchKing's CyberShot Xperience 8.3. I am using a2 uploader and whenever i place the camdriver0.dat into the ifs/settings/camera folder, i close down a2uploader by clicking shutdown, then when i turn my phone on after reinserting the battery i can tell the actual camera image is different, but the menu is still the same. I cant go to manual focus or any of the features that cybershot xperience offers. I have also tried replacing the en.lng file into the correct folder (forgot which one it was, but I know it was exactly the folder the tuto told me to go into). Can anyone please help me? I really want the manual focus

Sorry i couldnt understand what you are trying to say but i guess, you want to use manual focus feature and you are not able to do so? Right?
Have you uploaded the drive correctly to ifs/settings/camera folder? Does the size of the camdriver0.dat file increased to 71 kb ? If yes, you have successfully uploaded the drive. 
About language file, witchking has made a mess. The size of the en.lng file packed with the drive is only 159 kb which doesnot change the camera interface. You need to have size of 216 kb. Where can you get that file? Try to download witchking's previous version i.e. v8.0. You can use that language file or else tell me, i will upload that file on 4shared for you.
Upload that language file in tpa/preset/system/language folder.

thanks for the reply, and yes, my camera driver is now the correct file size
but the en.lng that is on my phone FS is 216kb. That should be the correct file size, according to what you said in the previous post. Yet there are still no change in the menu
what am I doing wrong? I will try to use an older versions' language file and see what happens, but its a long shot..

Nice to hear that you get the drive working.
About language file, the original file size is 214 kb and witchking's edited language file size is 216 kb.
Wait for sometime, i upload that on 4shared.

thanks again for going through all this trouble 
but i tried uploading it, and it was the exact same file size as the one already on it. I tried it anyway, and it was the same as before. no new menu or anything. how is the cybershot xperience menu different anyway? is it just the text in the camera menu that's different? i really would like to get manual focus can you please help me once more? help greatly appreciated, as ive tried everything... |

witchkings lng file only supports the 035 firmware.. I have this problems once, I used the 038 firmware and the modded lng file doesnt show. Hope this could help.  |
