firmware upgrade; now phone says Please Wait |

Hello,
gambled and SEUS said a new firmware update was available for my W995, so being a fool, i backed it all up and ran the procedure.
No errors, unplug and powered her on.
Now its been sat at the Please Wait with full status bar for about 3hrs now.
Can i just power cycle it?
what is best way to do this?
Will it do damage?
Is my phone shot?
thoughts and assistance appreciated.

try it without the mem card.

is it safe to just pop it out whilst like this?
any thoughts as to what it is doing in this state?

resolved:
powered off by removing battery
removed sim & memory stick
re-applied firmware from seus
powered on
1st time boot was quick as a flash
now running:
1215-7995
R1HA035
