does anyone know of a weather widget that gets displayed on satio homescreen?

Even if there is one,Satio unfortunately cannot suport widgets on stby screen yet..Maybe on a later firmware update...

if you use lcg jukebox and your playing a song and you minimise it. There is a widget on the satio homescreen that displays the track playing. So thought their might be a similar thing for weather

It is actually very possible. If you find a weather application written in Flash Lite, you can set it as a panel using the Vivaz Hack

HandyShell together with Handy Weather does this, but not with the homescreen. You need to use the HandyShell homescreen, which actually is the program itself, a homescreen app with shortcuts to what you want in terms of apps, today's tasks, time, alarms, played song. Also it features tabs that you slide between, the homescreen-images-favourite contacts. I tried the free Trial version, worked pretty ok, didn't use significant more battery what I noticed. Though, Handyweather had a poor limited city list compared to Accuweather.
