Can anyone tell me if it is possible (on a K810i) to make Opera the default browser rather than needing to open it as a separate program?
Many thanks,

You can create shortcut to opera to one of your soft keys or a navigation keys so that you have instant access to opera at a single click.
I have put right soft key to opera on my K850i.

Thanks ceaser, I was hoping I could set it so that things like links from RSS feeds would open Opera instead of the painfully slow standard browser.
Out of interest though, which are the 'soft' keys and how would I do it? |

Thanks jigonx for his picture.
This is K850i screen. The bottom 3 pic i,e walkman, sonyericsson logo and operamini are soft keys indicators. You press the right soft key namely operamini and the application will start directly from main screen. Instead You can set this function on your joystick as well.

On my K810i I can see how to assign shortcuts to the nav joystick but it won't let me go as deep in the folder structure as where Opera is, I can get it to assign the Apps folder but if I try to assign the Opera app inside that folder it won't let me. |

That's hard to believe. Is it direct under apps or in a sub-folder?

Thats not possible i think. You should go to menu - settings-shortcuts-select any navi. Key you want to set-organiser-applications-point curser on opera and press shoct key. Now you have assign opera to your selected navigation key. this is how it sets in my K850i, you may try in your phone.

Thanks for your help ceaser, but it seems the 810 is different from your 850.
If I try to go deeper than 'Applications' it brings up a message stating 'Cannot go further'. |

Oh i see. Then, i think you should assign that application folder so that you can access opera mini and other applications at just few clicks.
