the older £20 note with Sir Edward Elgar on the obverse will become illegal tender on the 30th June, it will however for some months after that be accepted in banks as deposits, it will always be welcome at the Bank of England in Threadneedle Street where they will swap it for whatever current £20 there happens to be...

Not seen one of these in SO LONG.. when are they refreshing the £5, £10 and £50 notes?
The £20 note looks so out of place right now...

I also heard somewhere that there maybe a £100 note being introduced is that true?

the 5 and 10 don't need a new one, they are current designs, the only note that is old is the 50 and that's due for replacement end of this year

LoL of the £5k I had pass through my hands this last week I reckon a good £2k was in the old notes, Maud works for the Bank and they have started to retain the old ones this last week
