I'm wondering if someone can help me. I think my Satio is bricked.

I hacked it and all was working fine. I then updated to the latest firmware, and took out the memory card as read on somewhere to keep the hack. All was fine, then next morning phone was dead. Thought it was battery. It won't charge. I've tried numerous times to reinsert cable whilst pressing the green button. The software updater rarely recognises but when it does it says installing failed. So I then tried changing the product code back with Davinci tool. but again the phone is not getting in that mode with green button so nothing happens!. I don't suppose anyone has any top tips to recover my Satio?

If I can't do anything, I'll send off to Sony Support and keep my fingers crossed they don't realise I changed the product code!!

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards

Dan

well it won't do anything with a flat battery, from what i'm reading you need to get it charged up somehow, then I think you'll be fine

Do you think thats the reason why it fails? Because the battery is incapable of charging. If I put the charger in the red light on the phone will stay on for maybe 20-30 seconds and then will go out. The screen always stays black. I will try and find a compatible phone that will fit the same battery to charge it. Better google to see which ones.

I left the phone in now for over 24 hours in the charger. The update still fails. Sometimes when it does start it gets to about 20 percent and says failed. I'm going to try charging the battery up in a different phone when I get hold of one.

Does anyone else know anything I can try to bring it back to life? Also what is the likely hood of Sony repairing the thing? Will they notice that the product code is changed and the software hacked?

When my phone died, it wouldn't charge via the cable and wasn't recognized by my PC as it was out of charge, so i bought the CBC 100 and charged the battery independently, so i could then connect phone to PC and fix the problem. This is most likely the solution to your problem to. Find out what type of battery the Satio takes (it'll say on it) then find another phone which uses same battery type and use that to charge it up, or buy CBC 100 for £10 from

Good luck, anyway

Just take it to a service center, they won't pick up on the product code change. Why should you waste your time trying to fix it when it has warranty!

You void your warranty if you mess with your phone like this. You shouldn't do things like this if you have a warranty.
