Last night I was surfing the internet on it and the network coverage went. I shut the phone off to see if that helped but when it came back on the phone did not reconize my sim card, so alot of more turning off and on and sim card cleaning later, it decided to reconize it again but now I had no network coverage and there is no signal. Also, another problem is that I plugged in my charger to charge it and the phone said it can't be charged because it's needs a Sony Ericsson battery! IT IS SONY ERICSSON!

I have tried changing the 3g setting, the flight mode setting, i reset the phone, i tried putting in a different sim card and different battery, tried a different charger, nothing is working.

what should I do?

Yeah i had one time that battery thing - didn't recognized phone, i was like wtf too, SE battery and said that needs original to charge But turning off and taking battery out and that in solved that.. And for that network problem - not really a specialist, but try to reinstall newest firmware, its very easy, maybe that'll helps

Software update with SEUS should repair your phone if there isn't any hardware damage done.

Find it at http://www.sonyericsson.com under support section.

Hope this solves your problem...

I had a similar problem, and the lady I spoke to at Orange, said it as something to do with an SE Update. She suggested switching to GSM only and trying the Software Update. Sure enough Orange World worked in 2G but, the Update service said I was up to date, my software version is: 1208-0449R1FA035090723
Have just tried 3G again and can't get on. She did recommend an update via the USB, but as I run a Mac I can't do this...
Please let me know if you have any luck?
Cheers,
RH
