Help with : C901 vs W995 vs s8300 vs some Nokia phones |

Hi
My priorities for getting new handset are these in this order:
1- Camera, my first priority is camera. I want best picture quality possible with very good video recording.
2- Music. I prefer having a standard 3.55mm headphone jack and nice playback feature from the phone.
3- Gaming. I'm a game developer so I love having able to play games. I want to have a broad range of games to play.
4- Video. I prefer to have xvid/divx/h.264 compatibility so I can view movies with my phone.
5- having WiFi is good (mostly for RSS since internet browsing with keypad seems bad)
and I can pay around 300$ at most.
So after my researches, I found out that C901 has best camera in the market but it doesn't have much other things. on the other hand W995 has lots of features but it's photo quality is even worse than C905, which is still lower than C901. I have a bad feeling or Samsung mobiles so I don't know anything about their S8300 but their video recording is DVD quality. Nokia has N86 but it's expensive.
So please help!
It helps me best if you can provide picture links for comparing picture quality. |

Your best option out of those is the w995. Why because you want music & music on the w995 is great sound,a decent camera though ok I know it's not the best camera but it's not bad either. Video playback is also very smooth though it does not support all formats &  phone's always do gaming very well & better than Samsung touch screen's which are poor for games. Also the w995 has 3.5mm jack nice big screen very reliable(except if your me,  )go for that i say  & it has Wi Fi. The video recording on the w995 is only QVGA but it's smooth @ 30fps.

One of the members here had a C901 then bought a W995 and said the camera was not good enough.
IMO if you want good music go for the the W995 if you want good camera go for the c901 
You can't really have both good music and good camera with

you should try the samsung jet ,it's in the same price tag you mentioned ......plus it's all in one package
Same picture quality as the c901 with 720x480 30fps video recording
3,5mm jack
3,1 inch amoled display with 800mhz processor
divx and xvid codec for video playback
Bonovox can give you more info...he owns one

Well I have a Samsung Jet but the only reason I never said it was because gaming is pants on it. But other than its the best phone & has everything he requires. It has stunning camera & video screen is the best there is,music is great too & video formats support.

I have asked the same questions, there's a lot of good cameraphones/music phones similiar to W995 and C901
Phones that ive heard have good cameras
N86
N82
Nokia 6700
Motozine ZN5
Samsung Jet/Pixon
Satio
there are loads of them, it really depends on how much money you are gonna spend

Thanks guys. I checked the Samsung Jet but I'm so pessimist about Samsung, I donno why. I believe since Sony has a brand on creating cameras, thus creates better camera phones. I know samsung creates cameras too but they want to impress people with their small size, instead of quality. at least that's what I believe. |

I also have the Nokia 6700 but I do not think much more of it's features will meet your requirements. Otherwise its a fab camera & phone. The N82 you could find cheaper now I am sure. The N86 it is great but I am sure if you shop around you can find it under £300. The jet is your best alrounder & I recommend it as the best but gaming is not the best. The Jet I got for £199 @ Carphone & it also has the best LED flash you will see.

i hate/can't belive i'm saying this but samsung is superior to sony ericsson in cellphone cameras much better photo processor plus samsung haves full access to samsungs digital cameras department and sony ericsson doesn't.
plus samsung has fewer problems with their phones than SE and that's a fact .Even nokia seems to have more problems in this section than samsung
Anyway everybody haves their taste ......

Well much as I do like they have gone off the boil for me. I hope they improve. I have not had a single problem with my Jet or 6700. Samsung cameras are excellent & from what I have seen alot cameras are not what they used to be. Shame. I have no idea what your talking about with Samsung small size  The Jet ain't that small & it's far better in quality in every respect to most recent mobiles. Samsung is a brand same as Sony is it not? Samsung have over taken Sony in alot of ways.
