Well, unfurtunately, it is now impossible to use opera mini that are modified in your phone as the tricks require to add ip in access point to work, that is not available with your phone since you don't have bluetooth/infrared capabilities. |

Thanks for your responses:-)
you're right poh my phone is bluetooth/infrared free and i'm unable to add ip's in my phones default configuration settings which i obtained from smart but it's possible for me to set up a personal configuration setting wherein i can add proxies..besides, i was able to make it worked before using freesites and the old cgi tricks but when i had my phone reprogrammed, since then i haven't been able to run it successfully on my phone.. |

there's a lot of proxies here that are available and can be used for nokia 1680c's built-in browser, its better than nothing.

I've resorted to using my phone's default browser with the aid of these proxies but doing so is really sucky coz with the type of phone i have, it's pretty slow when it comes to rendering web pages so i'd still prefer using the OM application.. |

Rhads
like what gon said,only bluetooth or infra is the only way to pass the configuration that is needed by your phone to install/run opera mini, but i've thinking on how smart pass that configuration on our mobile phones without the use of bluetooth or infra, maybe we can do that too.
my final suggestion use om 2.xx 3.xx because you can use it without the prov file configuration,ask bro litemint and goarthur77 about that (gosh! I need a lot of tissue )

Jenie, look. Can you make a manual configuration on that phone?
I think its similar to S40 phone. Dont get confused on these steps,
1. Goto Personal Config Settings
2. Choose Option
3. Add New
4. Choose WEB as your application type.
5. Put this settings.
- Account name = Name it anything
- Homepage = http://m.smart.com.ph
- User Name =
- Password =
- Use Pref. Access pt. = NO
- Access point settings
6. Under Access point settings
* Proxy = Enabled
* Proxy Address = 80.239.242.253
* Proxy port = 80
* Data Bearer = Packet Data
* Bearer Settings
7. Under Bearer Settings
* Packet data access point = internet
* Network type = IPv4
* Authentification type = normal
* Username =
* Password =
8. Now, Back to your Personal Account Menu..
9. Choose again option, then "ACTIVATE" Activate the Profile you just created.
Next Stop is Creating access point settings.
1. Go to your Personal Config Settings.
2. Under Personal Accounts Menu, choose OPTION.
3. Add New
4. Choose now "access point"
5. Under Access Point:
* Account name = any
* Access point Settings
**Data Bearer = Packet data
** Bearer Settings
6. Under Bearer Settings:
* Packet data acc. pt. = internet
* Network type = IPv4
* Authentification type = normal
* Username =
* Password =
7. Now, Back to your personal Account Menu..
8. Choose again option, then "ACTIVATE" Activate the Accesspoint we just created.
Done, restart your phone!
Then open the operamini that I had given the link.
