I'm trying to tether my unlocked / debranded SE K850i on North America's AT&T network using the standard USB cable and Sony Ericsson's PC Suite 6 on Windows XP. The error that I'm getting on the phone is: "Connection failure. Check settings, if problem persist please contact your operator for support." Also, my firmware is 1200-4404 R1FA035 080527 SonyEricsson.
I have tried taking my SIM card and putting it into another W760a which was purchased from AT&T with no problems, so I don't believe it to be my card. I feel like it must be in the area of my Internet Settings (listed below) or something to do with using an unlocked / debranded phone. Also, understand that I purchased the phone unlocked / debranded and never made any mods or changes. I've looked around and seen some sites talk about your firmware being brown or red, etc. and I have no idea what that means either.
I do appoligize if this is anywhere else, but I promise I have searched for weeks and can't seem to find an answer to my exact issue.
