Why are SE employing people who have not even the smallest amount of knowledge on SE products? I have contacted SE to ask why there is no voice dialling in the Satio, when it is part and parcel of the Symbian S60 V5 and for that matter V3 software. I was told by email that SE do not support this feature on their Symbian handsets. I replied to this email explaining that the feature is available as part of the S60 software, and the reply was that SE have never had support for voice dialling in any of their Symbian S60 phones. When I replied telling them the Satio is the first device SE have released with Symbian S60 software, they replied with an email stateing that there have been several SE handsets released with Sybian software and none have voice dialling in them. This seems a little strange, as sat in front of me know is a SE P910i which clearly has voice dialling in the phone, now this phone is a sim free bought direct from SE handset, and comes with voice dialling in it as standard. Now is it me, or does it seem as if the tea lady is maybe employed at SE to answer customer queries. My mother who as yet is still unable to even switch her mobile on without help, could give a better reply to my questions than these customer help people. Does anyone have a number or email address for customer complaints for SE.
Cheers
Stephen

Unfortunately this isn't just an SE thing. From my experience the vast majority of customer service units for tech related products are generally under-trained phone/email monkeys with no product knowledge what so ever beyond the crib sheet they get given at induction. Vodafone, PC World, 3 (worst of the lot in my opinion), Comet - to name but a few are all pretty much useless unless you can manage to get through to a third or fourth level supervisor/manager.
Maybe SE and others should start recruiting from regular users of sites such as this. The knowledge level is generally better and at least we have a real passion for the products.

thats such a shame the experience that sony ericsson are giving. I have never has an issue calling up Apple Tech Support or O2 when it comes to my Iphone, or even my mac mini when I call Apple. Find them always good when it comes to getting things sorted |
