Windows xp home edition OEM key,
Came with my old desktop, i lost the disk but copyed down the serial of it, creating a bootable xp home disk isn't difficult, this key is genuine was bundled with my old desktop when it was new i've used for 5 years with no problem, the old desktop is now in the garage so this key is no longer in use.

If XP came with the PC then you cant sell it unless you sell the PC with it.

The xp disk came with the pc, and the key is printed on the disk not the computer, i put the disk somewhere safe but can't find it so am just selling the serial. The pc is old and worthless so it sits in the garage as a spare no point in selling it.

@jc
Unless the serial is OEM, number1 can unregister the serial from the pc, and it can be reactivated by phone.

If its OEM, it will not work with any other hardware except the PC it was originally from.
Sorry

Thats not true for xp, only vista and 7 keys are matched to the motherboard, this key will work fine on any pc.
