Following the good old habit i installed SmartMovie on my Satio, and today i deceide to give it a try, i had two files and .mp4 one and an .avi one. The .mp4 played bad with a lot of lags and the .avi had mismatches between the sound and the video. However the .mp4 played like charm on the build default media player.
Please tell me what converter do you use (from .avi to .mp4 including the subtitle implementation) and an alternative of smartmovie (for .avi playback w/wo subtitle support)

I think divx player plays avi very well with subtitle. You can try coreplayer but not sure if there is a one for satio. |

I use Total Video Converter, It's pretty good, can even select the Phone Manufacturer and phone model , Get the latest version, it might even have Latest SE phones

All versions of core player for s60 v5 are unstable.
The better way is convert to mp4 and use the built in player.
I use Total Video converter 3.60 to convert videoclips and Format factory to convert/rip movies with or without subtitles.
