hi everyone.

quick recap:

hubby's W800's battery went totally dead yesterday for no reason. I told him probably the provider's signal went out and the phone was searching that's why it's dead, afterall, it hasn't been charged for 2 days (yesterday was the start of the 3rd day). after charging, it's performing normally. then this morning, it's dead again. after fully charged, within 20 minutes the battery indicator went red and within 10 minutes it's gone, dead. then he went and get a new battery, a "good quality brand almost like the original" the seller says. it won't even hold a little charge it does heat up the phone though. I'm plugging it to a USB port for about 40 minutes already and it went up to 23% according to myphoneexplorer. then I took it off the USB port for 5 minutes, then it dies again, but when I plug it back to the USB port it seemed like refusing to hold any charge. it's been 20 minutes now and the phone screen went on and off for a bit.

questions:

- is all W800i turned itself on whenever plugged to the USB port? my K750i will not turn on if the power button is not pressed
- whenever I plugged the W800 to myphoneexplorer, it said "obex error bla bla bad request server don't understand the request" what does it mean? what should I do?
- since I can't see what's inside the phone (making backup returns many obex error msg thing, just trying to sync with myphoneexplorer also gives many obex error msg) should I just plug the phone to the SEUS and get the latest firmware? is there anyway to see what's in the phone?
- battery wise, if the phone is "fixed", will the battery performed normally again?

I'm running an asus laptop that comes with vista home premium. I prefer XP way more. vista is just plain annoying. oh, and I have a K850 and K750, I already installed PC Suite for the K850 back when I got the laptop because the phone served as the modem. should I uninstall the PC Suite and get the W800's version of PCSuite (version 2 if not mistaken, K850 uses version 4).

please advise. thanks a lot for your time. have a great day.

can't think anything better to look inside the phone rather than MPE atm,
and for the phone maybe Mrs. Bulu should think of doing SEUS since it will make the phone fresh again
(if there are no hardware probs)

blah jauh˛ ke sini yg jwb si peppy!!

well anyway, after pulling almost an all-nighter, I conclude that there's something wrong with the hardware. tried charging and using the old and the new batteries in my K750, both performed wonderfully. the main problem remains though, what makes this W800 heats up every time it is charged. software-wise, the phone is fully usable, the main problem is only the battery that drains super quick plus the phone won't take any battery that's not original. weird. anyone experience this? well maybe it is really time to move on to up-to-date phones instead of trying to hold on to the old times?
