Will I void my phone warranty if I decide to use firmware hacks to change camera driver etc?

It will, but it depends a lot on the terms of the warranty and what country you live in, in some countries even accessing the service menu voids the warrranty.
My advice is that if you have a warranty for your phone - steel clear of any modding, they don't want to pay for your dead phone so if they can they will blame it on you if you have done these things
But, updating firmware via SEUS is fine (imo)

You can mod your drivers. If something breaks and you need to send it back, you can reinstall FW with SEUS first. That would get everything back to normal. I think.

You can mod your phone for cam, accoustic driver which can not be traced at first glance until you are wise enough to tell them that you have mod it. Dont use visible mod like softkeys, no op. logo etc. I remember when i showed my modded phone with softkeys, the guy firstly saw the phone with confused eyes and straight away giving me back saying this cannot be repaired as it is foreign piece. ( In india, people would charge more if they found the phone is from other country and service centre dont even touch it as the warranty is for only Indian phones. very strange. ) Though my phone was not in warranty.
