Updated mine, I used the back up application to save my contacts and after restoring i only have 5 contacts..  (and that's with alexlt's advice)... anwz I was somewhat disappointed as the phone doesn't feel that faster and camera and messaging have not improved... then I found out that the video now has continuous autofocus

If you read carefully, in the back-up app it says that it only back up contacts not already synced with google or se sync. Perhaps that what you have encountered ? |

Initial impressions (I'll be collating all of this on a future blog entry)
- I can't seem to disable the vibe when you unlock the screen... really annoying.
- Finally... the official YM and Twitter apps!
- Gmail finally supports multiple Google Apps Accounts... although K-9 was great, I prefer the interface of the official Gmail app. I don't need to use the  Email app.
- Menu is a whole lot faster. ADW is still my Launcher of choice... but for those of you that might like it, *Spark Beta now doesn't crash on start up like with 1.6 It's a sleeker interface than ADW... but very limited in function. If you only want a minimalist look, give it a try.
- Wifi seems way more stable
- For those that don't have Voice installed by default... update to Google's Voice Search 2.1 instead of 1.5
Will be doing a more comprehensive review on what's better ... and what no longer works (apps, functions, etc) in 2.1 vs 1.6

installed 2.1. is there any way to change the default background for installed apps? previously it was blue. now it's black..and it's kind of hard to see some apps that doesn't have a background. |

3rd party apps... you can change the wallpaper... just not the dark blue background for apps.

are there any workaround on how to delete the google account under the MARKET?
you need to master reset the phone in order to delete the synced google account.
there are no other options under Application settings
