So I am wondering what is the mobile phone which has the longest music playback time, from the time the phone's battery is fully charged until it is completely drained.

I don't know if it is the J105 or the W995. Can you guys give me a phone with the stated feature? Thanks!

FINDINGS

  • Aino (U10i) has 32-34 hours of music playback time through HPM-77; (bronxdude), and 60 hours using Bluetooth headset; (hihihans).
  • Naite/J105 (groovepeppy), and C902 (mrjulius) has 30 hours of music playback according to some users.
  • Nokia 5800xm/5530xm has 35 hours. alexlt
  • G502 only has 10 hours of music playback. boy.in.PINK

Im sure the Naite,Aino or W995 would be the best at batt life, they are dumbphones after all,and SE dumbphones in general have amazing battery life. I doubt there would be a major difference between them, i'd say get the W995 as its the most complete Music phone: built-in 3.5mm jack,and Media Keys.

most SE phones have almost the same battery life if you set them only to play your music collection, it depends on the batt mAh differences. for me as a naite user which someone called a dumbphone (lol), i can get 4 days of standby on normal use (couple minutes of calls and no more than 30 sms's each day) with 70% display brightness and gsm only on the network selection.
already use the phone for 3months though.
i once fell asleep with my earphone plugged in playing my collection then woke up 7hours later with only 23% batt life decreased, so if i got 100% batt and let's say 25% decreased every 5 hours then i got 20 hours of music mayhem.
What a dumb phone i got ha ha . . .

@hihihans that means

Aino (U10i) = 60 hours of music per fully-charged battery

@groovepeppy you said

i once fell asleep with my earphone plugged in playing my collection then woke up 7hours later with only 23% batt life decreased

somewhat opposed to the later statement

so if i got 100% batt and let's say 25% decreased every 5 hours then i got 20 hours of music mayhem.

so i guess,
Naite (J105) = 30 hours of music per fully-charged battery

i'm gonna recheck my G502 again for more accurate statistics.. and i'm not going to use internet there..

thanks guys! i truly appreciate your answers..

i said dumbphone as in non-smartphone,as in "dumb"phone ,as in its not a smartphone, as in its a java phone, as in the opposite of smart, as in it doesnt run an OS, hope thats enough of an explanation. Next time i say dumbphone il be sure to put the above in bright flashing neon lights and animations. ,anyway back to the topic, i agree,most SEs dont differ much in batt life, especialy the newer ones,all you need to worry about is what form factor etc. . .you want.

re dumbphones: new word learned!

dumbphone /n./ a mobile phone with no operating system, as opposite to smartphones

back to topic: i do agree with gucci.. all latest phones since K750i has battery life of 10 hours talktime.. but i guess it differs when it comes to music.. phones, i guess, have better battery life while playing music than the C, G, and K series..

I don't know about music since I've never listened to my W995 for more than 2 hours at a stretch and I usually don't keep track or even bother to add the subsequent usage hours. But what I do know is I've played 2 movies back to back on it with loudspeaker and the battery bar was still around 30% That's pretty darn impressive if you ask me. I could've probably played another full movie before the battery would completely dry up.
