Using a BST-40 battery in a Satio? |

Hi all, I have ordered a new Satio and have been reading about it's poor battery life.
I notice that the BST-40 battery is pretty much the same as the BST-33 but 1mm thicker. Some sellers on eBay are selling desktop chargers which can charge both the BST-33 and BST-40 batteries in the same slot which tells me that the metal contacts on both batteries are in the same place as each other (well, pretty much).
Can anyone confirm/test whether a BST-40 Battery (as used in the P1 and can fit in the P990) can fit inside the Satio? I ask this because it is 1120maH as opposed to 950 or 1000maH that the Satio's BST-33 gets shipped with.
Cheers. |

I can confirm that you unable to applied BST-40 to SATIO because different size itself.
About battery life if you doesn't put in maximum brightness it CAN survive at least for day
Maximum brightness is vibrant color and great sharply detail and also SUPER DRAIN battery too.
my SATIO get shipped with 1000 mAh

The BST40 is a little thicker than the BST33. I have a p1 that came with the BST40 battery. I removed some of the plastic covering of the battery that was over the labels etc and it does fit though snugly into the satio. Unfortunately I cannot compare battery life as the battery I used was old and already on its way out. |

Oh damn, i was hoping for a nice fit. Thanks for the feedback guys. I might try out one of the 1200maH no-brand batteries sometime. |

Mine is using a 1000mah BST-33 and I think it has a very good autonomy. Used it since 12 pm today and untill now it is still full. I sent some sms, talked a bit, took around 20 photos and visited some websites through wifi.

Lots of good info here:

... keep your battery in your phone cool, keep your spares in the fridge at 40% charge rate and don't ever let it discharge fully! |

Battery life on Satio's is generally pretty good compared to my HTC Touch Pro :\\ |

I'm going to my fourth day with regular use (mainly SMS and photos) and I still have a little more than a half left. I deactivated 3G and reduced the screen brightness a bit though. |

Yeah, the problem with my current K850i is that it keeps searching for mobile reception which drains the hell out of the battery. I can imagine that if you removed the 3G option you would have no issues, but then you're removing a lot of the capabilities of the phone ... trade offs! |
