should i get a 7650 for £50? |

I need some advice. I have only had my T68i since november (aquired through a stroke of good fortune with orange customer services and my broken sony z7) but my contract is now up and the orange website is offering the 7650 for £50, so i could have and use both phones.
Anyone care to persuade me either way?
Anyone know how much the s55 will be on orange? |

Ive got a Nokia and a Siemens S55, the Siemens come up as device here on this forum so u wouldnt know what im using! I guess a nokia is practical for wap and the s55 just to good lol

I see no reason to change your T68 for a Siemens S55. Ok...so the S55 has Java, but that's it. Besides the S55 colour screen is lower quality than the T68 colour screen.
If you would like to change phone the 7650 is a better choice, but the best (and most expensive) would be to get a P800  |

Yeah but the p800 will not be out on orange for years, i could just keep the T68i but it seems a bit of a waste paying for a phone with a contract and not uprgrading when i can.
A 7650 for £30, certainly beats a sim free p800 for £900 on expansys.
What im getting at is whether the 7650 is a good phone or not- is it worth getting for that cheap? |

Of course it would be worth getting at that price. It is very good, I know, i used to own one. Tons of software available for it. Why don't you just look up some reviews...

i'm looking at the samsung s100 now... looking a really nice phone.
65000 colour screen , java , polyphonics etc..
its not out in the uk as yet but is due very soon, just a consideration for you before you plump for the 7650 |

I have a S100 too. It's a beautiful, sturdy, very small phone with awesome sounding polyphonic ringtones and great screen, but that's about it... It's very featureless compared to the N7650, but of course it all depends on your needs..

The Samsung does look like a sexy peice of kit, but again not out on orange yet, and will be expensive when it comes out. Just want another phone with a camera and lots of features (bt?) to play with really. Im swaying towards a 7650 i think... |

If you don't mind that's it got 256 colours, I would go for the S55. Got the phone, and it's bloody great. Please, don't compare it to the T68i, it's actually quite different in many ways. And much, much better. If you go for a 7650 or P800 (which are great phones with lots of functions) you will very quickly get tired of them because of the size. Do like me! Buy one bluetooth-enabled PDA and one S55 and you will have the best of both worlds (much better that the 7650 and P800 together). But, £50 is a really good price... Hmmmm... Buy them all! |
